Lana Staheli
Lana Ribble Staheli, Ph.D. is a coach on interpersonal relationships and life strategies. She has had a successful counseling, coaching and consulting practice for over 35 years. She works with individuals, couples and organizations.
Dr. Staheli is author of several relationship books, Triangles, Facts on Affairs; Affair-Proof Love, and Affair-Proof Your Marriage. She is a nationally and internationally recognized expert on personal growth and relationships, appearing on radio and television worldwide. Dr. Staheli has been featured in the Seattle Times, Washington Times, Gannett
News, and other syndicated newspapers from Anchorage, Alaska, to Miami, Florida. Lana Ribble Staheli is a founding member of the Board of Directors for the Center for Women and Democracy at the University of Washington and Founding Chair of the Global Networking Program. Her work involved creating networking programs that included visits to Cuba, Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic, Sweden, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania Turkey, Hungary and others. She is a also a member of the prestigious International Women’s Forum and a former member of the board of Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government.
Lana’s husband, Dr. Lynn Staheli is a world-renowned children’s orthopedic surgeon, they have been married for over 30 years. Drs. Lynn and Lana founded Global-
HELP(Health Education Low-cost Publications) after 9-11 providing free health care information to developing countries and helping to make medical knowledge accessible worldwide. Dr.’s Staheli have created an endowed Chair at Seattle Children’s Hospital in Pediatric Orthopedic Research.
Lana was born in 1947 with what was a then usually fatal birth defect, a tracheo-esophageal fistula. Lana spent the first 7 months of her life in the hospital and made many trips back to the hospital throughout her life. But, Lana has not been limited by her birth defect. She has traveled to 60-70 different countries and often to primitive remote villages. Lana’s experience receiving life saving health care led her to establish an endowed lectureship to benefit the medical staff at Seattle Children’s Hospital.
Lana Ribble Staheli is founder of Bounce Be Transformed. “Bounce is a way of life based on a commitment to personal growth and transformation. We can change ourselves, and the world around us, by being intentional in our thoughts and choices, creating a life filled with joy and meaning,” Dr. Staheli says.
Lana’s ideas for personal transformation started with a group of eight women who applied her lessons to their lives. Their changes so impressed friends and coworkers that they joined Bounce.
